The short answer
There is no single price for the WhatsApp Business API in Egypt. Your bill is built from three parts. Meta charges for messages. Your provider charges for the platform. You also spend time and money on setup and day to day support.
This article does not quote rates. Meta sets and updates its message rates, and they change. Check Meta's current rate card for Egypt before you budget, and ask every provider for an itemised quote.
The three parts of the cost
| Part | Who sets it | What to ask |
|---|---|---|
| Message charges | Meta | Which message categories will I send, and how are they charged for Egypt? |
| Platform fee | Your provider | Is it monthly, per seat, per number, or based on volume? |
| Setup and support | You and your provider | Who builds the flows, who answers when something breaks, and what does it cost? |
1. Message charges from Meta
Meta groups business messages into categories, such as marketing, utility, authentication and service. The category of a message affects what it costs. A reminder about an order is not priced like a promotion. Rates also depend on the country of the person you message.
2. The provider platform fee
Most businesses reach the API through a provider. The provider may charge a subscription, a usage fee, or both. Some add charges for extra agents, extra phone numbers or advanced features. Ask for each of these in writing.
3. Setup and support
The API connects a number to software. It does not answer customers by itself. Someone has to write the replies, set the rules for handing a chat to a person, and keep the system current. Count that work as part of the price.
How to estimate your own cost, step by step
- List the reasons you will message customers. Orders, bookings, reminders, support and promotions are different jobs.
- Estimate how many messages each job sends in a month. Use your own records, not a guess from another business.
- Match each job to a Meta message category using Meta's current documentation.
- Look up the current Meta rate for Egypt for each category.
- Add the provider's platform fee and any seat or number charges.
- Add a line for setup and for the staff time that will keep the system running.
- Compare providers on the total, not on the headline fee.
Common pitfalls
- Comparing only the platform fee. A low fee can sit beside high message markups or paid extras.
- Ignoring message categories. A plan built on the wrong category can cost more than expected.
- Skipping the handover plan. If a customer needs a person and no one is there, the saving does not matter.
- Using old rate tables. Rates change. A page from last year may be wrong today.
- Sending to people who did not agree to hear from you. This harms quality and can limit your number.
- Forgetting Arabic. Many customers in Egypt write in Arabic, English, or both in one chat. Confirm that your provider handles both languages in replies and templates.
What to ask any provider, including KIRA
- Is Meta's message charge passed through at cost, or is there a markup?
- What is included in the platform fee, and what costs extra?
- Who sets up the first flows, and who maintains them?
- How does a chat move from the assistant to a person?
- Can the system reply in Arabic and English?

A note on the figures
This article gives no prices on purpose. We would rather you take current numbers from Meta and from written quotes than rely on a figure that may be out of date.
